i now have a weekly comic in my school's paper called District and the title of the comic is pencil shaving and ill be posting one here everyweek..but right now you get two..YAY!

here are some sketches i did for this story im working on for fun. i decided on the cartoony/experimental approach because i kinda like it better, plus its more fun to toy around with, anyway here it is

Okay, back in Apr. of '07 I had this dream...well nightmare that was one of the most terrifying experiences ive had in a while. Last night my internet adventures brought this urban legend to my attention. The woman in that very story was the exact same one that i was attacked by in my nightmare except she was a lot more mutilated and had her entire face wrapped but she kept asking me if i thought she was beautiful and whatnot. So i figure id do a short story centered around this character.

They even have this move that came out recently about this urban legend and just to give you an idea what she looks like i made this animated gif from the tralier

pretty creepy, right....yeah

Oh and here's a sketch i did last night..MORE NAPKIN ART!

I'll report back with sketches for this comic idea and all that jazz.

well, heres the result of me sitting on the couch since the day after thanksgiving...and i have to say page 4 and 5 were my favorite ones to do

oh, if you see any typos or have any constructive criticism just let me know. i obviously cant do any thing about the art but lettering/coloring i can change if need be.

this a project i did for my alternative an experimental comics class last quarter
it's suppose to be printed front and back on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.

im lettering the very last page for the fletcher hanks as i type this and ill be posting it tomorrow, yay

but i did this sketch while waiting around in a nail salon..anyway it in reference to neutral milk hotels album in the aeroplane over the sea...i dont know why i did this, maybe because i was bored

as far as the fletcher hank's project goes..i have 2 more pages to color/ letter then ill be finished and ill post them all in order nice and neat for you.

i took the liberty of redesigning the super boy character

it was kind of a cop out to wrap the story up but i didnt want to spend an entire page with the conflict resolved and them just sitting on the ship

now all that is left is the coloring and what not.

....and i know they beamed down to get on the planet but for the "profile silhouette run back to the ship" gag to work they would have to actually get in the ship and fly off

i guess i should explain the story...

Space smith and Diana are traveling through space like usual when they come across a planet named Serotonin. Thats why everything looks so happy and they way they maintain their happines is by draining the serotonin from nearby space travelers thus keeping the planet alive...

but Space Smith isnt just your typical space traveler!

and here's a colored panel. for continuity sake all the entries have to use the fletcher hanks palate which is very limited but its okay im trying to go for a retro comic look and igonore the awful lettering, it's just there for a filler because i havent found the font i want to use yet
